Dick Shakerley of VRS Sales stopped by on a recent drill night to give a presentation on the benefits of the CAFS system we have on Engine 2. He also went through its proper operation with apparatus drivers.

Building of our new Air/Light vehicle is progressing at Swab Wagon, Inc. Photos showing the progress to date can be found below. The Adams Fire Department was awarded a $43,000 Federal Assistance to Firefighters Grant today. The grant, the department's second successful submission, will be used to purchase a complete breathing air compressor and fill station that meets current NFPA standards. Together with the upcoming delivery of the department's new air/light vehicle which is replacing a 1948 Cheverolet, the air delivery system for the department's SCBA bottles will be completely compliant with existing regulations. The grant was written by Assistant Chief Lennon.  Order forms have been posted downstairs for the Game brand job shirts. Sign up by Wednesday, 3/6/13 to be included in this order.
