For a 3rd year in a row, Lt. Mike Therrien and his crew of firefighter/cardboard creation masters have successfully competed in a cardboard sled competition, this year taking home the top prize for most creative, a train complete with a locomotive, a flatbed trailer delivering a new fire truck and of course, a caboose! The level of detail was truly outstanding. Congratulations to all those involved in taking part and representing the company so well. Thank you to all our supporting businesses and prize sponsors as well as those who participated in our 3rd annual golf ball drop fundraiser! Mike Therrien and his pit crew successfully conquered Bosquet Mt. in Pittsfield Saturday, March 3rd. His Tower 4 themed sled won the 7th Annual Lazer 99.3 & 98.5 Cardboard Carnival powered by Coors Light in a time of 12.76 seconds. The run was so fast, it powered through the slow down area and into the haybales at the far end. The sled took some minor front end damage as a result but the crew will get it squared away in time for another event at Jiminy Peak in two weeks and the Mt. Snow Bud Light Duct Tape Derby at the end of the month. Check out the video of the run and a few pics below. The weather was beautiful for this year's annual FF Sunday Memorial Service. As she often does, Anita Gutmann was there to photograph the Alerts. Check out all of the photos from the event. Anita posts her photos on Facebook, stop by and check her work. |
