New Software Purchased Through Grant 8/3/04
The Alert Hose Company / Adams Fire Department recently received a $1,500.00 grant from the Berkshire Taconic Foundation's General Fund program. The grant was used to purchase Fire Point software.
The software will allow the department to better manage records such as incident reports, training, personnel records and much more. For example, the software will first generate an incident report  for every incident the department responds to, and then  electronically submit that report to the state as required by law.
The Berkshire Taconic is a non-profit organization and catalyst for philanthropy. Its mission is to improve the quality of life in Berkshire, Lithfield, Columbia, and Dutchess counties. The Foundation establishes charitable funds, provides community leadership, distributes grants, assists donors and prudently manages the Foundation's resources.

Annual Solicitation 3/29/04
It is time, once again, for the Alerts Annual Solicitation.  During the year 2004, the Alerts will be celebrating 128 years of community service.  For over a century, the annual solicitation has been and continues to be the company's largest fund raiser due to your generosity.  All monies collected through this drive are used to  support the numerous efforts of the company and its volunteers who donate their time and energy in protecting Adams.  Monies previously raised were used recently to purchase a new Hurst "Jaws of Life" automobile extrication tool set to replace the company's original unit which was purchased in the 70's.

Residents should expect to receive their mailing during the first week of April and are reminded that all contributions are tax-deductible.

We hope that you will continue your generous support and loyalty as you have in the past.
