COMMENDATION
It is with great pride and pleasure
that I confer this commendation of superior public safety service upon
Chief Stephen Brown and the members of the Alert Hose Company of Adams,
Massachusetts.
Specifically for their heroic
and professional actions on the night of Thursday, February 18th, 1999
responding to and handling with the greatest of competence at an accident
scene on Highland Avenue in Adams. The manner in which this was accomplished
was to say the least, one of the most professional responses to a disaster/human
injury incident that I have witnessed in my many years of law enforcement.
Watching Chief Brown and the
Alerts work as a team was a moment which
I will remember with gratitude and pride. Grateful that we, as residents
of Adams, have an effiecient and well-oiled machine such as the Alerts
to quickly respond to a scene and minimize the time of a victim's suffering
by way of removing the victim from the scene in an expeditious and professional
manner. Prideful in that this is a part of the Adams Public Safety
team, working together for the safety and well-being of Adams.
Again, let me say that I am
very proud to reside in a community with the
quality and caliber of professionals such as the Alert Hose Company and
its Chief. I salute you, one and all... a job well-done! On
behalf of my agency to yours, thank
you very much.
Given under my hand this 2nd
day of March in the Year of Our Lord, 1999,
Herman Bishop
Chief of Police
